Hello!!! Long time no talk! Okay so I will write a post later about all that has been going on over here in our part of the world.

I have a deep desire to share crafting with everyone!! So I have made a plan to open a secondhand store that sells fabric, art and craft supplies.

MakerOpolis has been born. Right now I am receiving donations, sorting through and creating a good system for myself to make it as easy as possible for everyone to order. I did try a test run and listed fabric on FB and I have decided to streamline it all onto my own website. I have had an Etsy shop since 2010 and I am at a point in my life where I need to take myself and my business more seriously. Thats scary, maintaining your own website and doing big girl boss things. While everything is being put to one site enjoy looking through our Etsy and what we have now, our Facebook will have updates on upcoming crafting goodies. Tech things are not my thing so I am learning at the same time how to do all this and practice patience and asking for help.

My mission is to supply everyone with materials to make whatever their craft affordable and exciting. I want to inspire and help reduce waste.

I'm Olivia, I sew, cook and am part of a blended family. My husband Steve and I have nine children, four are his, five are mine. We have six girls and three boys ages 13-25. I learned to sew from my grandma Mary, my dad's mom. She made beautiful Raggedy-Ann and Andy dolls, pillows and clothes for her children when they were younger. I spent many weekends with her stuffing legs and arms, going to the fabric store and on occasion I went to shows with her to sell her beautiful makes. I had my first daughter at 19 and wanted to make her a blanket. I used my grandma's sewing machine and she guided me along the way, I think Mary, my oldest, still might have that blanket. Over the years I have sewn a variety of dolls, plush cuties, pillows and just started getting into sewing clothes. Welcome to my adventures in sewing, being part of a big family and my small part of the internet.
